Use Your Voice. Make Sport Safer.
If you are a gymnast, parent, coach or member of the wider gymnastics community, and have concerns about safeguarding, coaching practices, or your experience with a particular coach, club or governing body, we encourage you to speak to us.
Raising a concern can feel difficult. You may be worried about how what you share will be used — and the consequences of reporting.
What You Can Share
You can contact us about concerns including:
Safeguarding failures or welfare concerns
Emotional, physical or sexual abuse
Bullying, intimidation or coercive coaching practices
Unsafe training environments or inappropriate behaviour
Concerns about how complaints have been handled
Experiences of being ignored, dismissed or disadvantaged for speaking up
Whether your concern is recent or historic — it is valid, and we are here to listen.

Our WhatsApp Support Line is here for you when you feel ready to reach out. Disclosing can be a great way to open the door to support and be an important first step on your journey towards healing. Our goal is to provide an empathic ear and signpost you towards further support. Please reach out via WhatsApp to make contact with our community:
When you reach out to us, you will be met with a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental response.
We take a trauma-informed approach, which means:
You will be listened to with empathy, respect and without judgement
You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable
You are not required to relive or retell your experience in detail
Your pace, your boundaries, and your wellbeing will be prioritised
We will:
Listen to your experience at your pace
Help you understand your options
Support you in raising a concern or making a complaint, if you choose to
Signpost you to specialist legal, safeguarding or therapeutic support where appropriate
You are always in control of what happens next. There is no pressure to take action unless and until you feel ready.
Our Approach
Confidentiality, Data Protection and Our Boundaries
We are a trauma trained organization, and we understand how important it is to feel safe when sharing your experience.
We will treat what you share with care and confidentiality
We will not share your information without your consent, unless we believe there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or someone else, or where we are legally required to do so
We handle personal information in line with UK GDPR and data protection law
We will explain clearly how your information may be used before taking any action
What we will not do:
We will not pressure you to report, take action, or share more than you want to
We will not investigate cases or act as a regulatory or disciplinary body
We will not act without your knowledge, except in safeguarding situations where there is a legal duty to do so
We cannot guarantee a national governing body will take appropriate action following an intervention by G4CI, but we can be there to support you through the process making a formal complaint.
Contact Us
If you have something you would like to share, you can get in touch with us in confidence. You can choose what to share, when to share it, and what happens next.
You will be heard. You will be believed. And you will not have to navigate this alone.
At G4CI, we offer a range of support designed to meet you where you are — recognising that everyone’s experience and needs are different. Our approach is survivor-led, trauma-informed, and centred on empowering you with the information and support you need to make the right decisions for what you personally need.
